- Cognizant, the American IT services and consulting company announced Jatin Dalal as its CFO on 28th September, a week after he resigned from Wipro.
- Jatin served as the Chief Financial Officer of Wipro from 2015 to 2023.
Jatin Dalal possesses an exceptional educational background.
He is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI, additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Engineer degree, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA).
In 2002, Jatin joined Wipro, a multinational technology services and consulting company, as a Treasury Manager.
Between 2003 and 2009, he held various positions in Finance, gradually taking on more responsibilities.
In 2009, he was promoted to Global Finance Head for Wipro’s Energy & Utilities, Health Care, and Manufacturing business units.
In 2011, Wipro appointed him as the CFO of its Global IT Business, and four years later Jatin was promoted to CFO.
During his tenure as Wipro’s CFO, Jatin Dalal held a wide range of responsibilities encompassing Corporate Finance, Business Finance, Business Planning, Treasury, Taxation, Secretarial, Controllership, Assurance, and Procurement.
He also played a pivotal role in leading Wipro Ventures, the company’s strategic investment arm with a $300 million focus on early- to mid-stage startups.
Furthermore, he served as a member of the New York Stock Exchange’s Listed Company Advisory Board from June 2015 to November 2022.
In December 2023, Jatin Dalal will join Cognizant as its CFO, taking over the role from the outgoing CFO Jan Siegmund.
His responsibilities at Cognizant will include overseeing the company’s worldwide financial planning and analysis, accounting and controllership, treasury and internal audit, and enterprise risk management functions, as the company focuses on driving revenue growth.
